Desperate Housewives finale

Farewell to the ladies of Wisteria Lane with a 2 hr. finale on July 12th.

Seven has now confirmed the finale for the end of Desperate Housewives.

After 8 seasons it all wraps with a 2 hr. finale at 10pm on July 12th.

There are certainly some moments that make for a fitting farewell, but it will be a late night for devoted fans, ending at midnight.

One for the PVR?

  1. Sad really that the tv stations reap all the financial gains when shows are popular…and then when their popularity slide, they just throw these shows off into the wee hours of the night when most aren’t watching with absoultely no dignity…..shame on you Channel 7 ……..

  2. Disappointing to see it go.Thursday Late Nights were going to kill the show anyway. What should have been done was push the Rafters Finales/Come Back of Winners and Losers back by a week either side of them and put the finale of these housewives on the Tuesday Instead or rescheduling those others for the Thursday pushing out Greys for the week instead.

  3. I echo the sentiments of all the other posts. Seven please reconsider and show the 2 hour finale at 8.30. And if it must be shown at 10.00, can it please be at 10.00 and not 10.15 or 10.20. the late start times are getting ridiculous.

  4. I have enjoyed the show. Am looking forward to the end! I PVR anyway and watch it when it suits me! I am over networks programming & just PVR accordingly hoping to not miss the end of shows!

  5. Disappointing news for those who have been waiting for 7 to show the finale. I loved that they gave Lost a 2hr prime time finale, I just thought they’d do the same for this.

  6. I know it was screened as a double episode in the US, but the episodes weren’t really related so Seven could split them up and save some people the late night.

  7. I’m not really sad to see it go out I’ve enjoyed the show and I do still watch but 8 seasons is enough and I feel as though the characters and story have run their course.
I PVR the show every week anyway but its shoddy treatment by Seven to air the finale of such a show that helped relaunch a failing network, even Lost got a ‘prime’ primetime finale and it was shunted to 7TWO in the early days of digital……

  8. That is so disappointing. I am loving this final season and it would have been nice that Seven acknowledge its former hit with an 8:30pm timeslot for the 2hr finale. Even if its on 7two first.

  9. that’s disapointing about the scheduling. i thought they would make an event of it. for Lost the show was airing late nights on 7two getting less that 100k but the finale was pulled back to 8:30 on the main channel and got 750k against a state of origin across 2hours. 7 are usually good at making events of finales and reviving them A touch of frost and All Saints were well done. bump out greys anatomy for one week and then do a 2hr finale of GA the following week.
