Last night’s Mabo telemovie on ABC1 drew raves in social media last night.

#mabo was the top trending subject on Twitter last night, reminiscent of the universal praise for Paper Giants.

Many admitted turning to tears by the end of the telemovie with plenty of applause for Jimi Bani, Deborah Mailman and Blackfella Films.

  1. While I thought the acting and cinematography was excellent, I thought some of the story seemed quite rushed, and would have preferred it if this had been made as a miniseries.
