Seasoned First Assistant Director John “JC” Clabburn, whose vast experience stretches back to 1989, has died, aged 52.
He died following an accident with a cordless gardening saw at his Atarmon home, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Emergency services were called to the family home just after 5pm on Tuesday after reports a man was suffering a severe laceration to his arm.
He recently worked as First Assistant Director on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and ABC drama Operation Buffalo.
His extensive credits include Les Norton, The Letdown, Fighting Season, Hardball, Love Child, Brock, Australian Survivor, Ash vs Evil Dead, Wonderland, Carlotta, Plonk, Banished, Ready for This, Mabo, Packed to the Rafters, Stupid Stupid Man, Chandon Pictures, Supernova, Always Greener, Underbelly, Hell Has Harbour Views, Murder Call, Water Rats, Heartland and Police Rescue.
Clabburn has worked for ITV Productions, Blackfella Films, Porchlight Films and on US Survivor seasons for Mark Burnett Productions.
