Auditions: The Audience

TEN is now calling for participants for its new factual series The Audience, in which one person has a decision to make and members of the public will follow them for a week to help solve the dilemma.

The UK version has tackled such questions as:

Are the relationships in your family strained?
Is your business failing?
Are you considering marriage or divorce?
Are you struggling to discipline your child?
Are you unhappy with your living arrangements?
Are you having a dispute with your neighbour?
Are you experiencing financial problems?
Are you thinking about starting a family through IVF, adoption or other fertility methods?

TEN is seeking both individuals with a dilemma to solve and members of the public to offer advice for the Granada-produced series.

We live in an age where consulting the crowd is a major trend. Millions of people take to social media at every opportunity to ask such burning questions as ‘What should I have for dinner tonight?’ or ‘Should I break up with my boyfriend?’.

The Audience invites people to take their dilemmas offline and back into the real world, where an assembled group will help them on to the right track.

In each episode, we meet someone in a crisis, with a life-changing decision to make.

To help solve their dilemma, they will open up every corner of their life to up to 50 ordinary Australians from every walk of life. The 50 people, also known as ‘The Audience’, will literally follow them everywhere for an entire week, observing their lives in order to try and help them work through their problem.

An innovative new format, The Audience is an exciting commission for TEN. It is a game-changing reality show in the truest sense of the word. It’s about life in all its messy complexity, and the common sense we need to guide our way through.

The Audience is looking for participants to join this bold new reality show. We are looking for people who need guidance about their love life, family relationships, finances, lifestyle choices or any other major issue.
