They were the picket fence gossipers, the Oprah wives, the Martha Stewart generation, brought to life in a prime-time melodrama.
Now the ladies of Wisteria Lane finally depart our screens next week.
This show had it all: murder, intrigue, romance, mystery, comedy, cliffhangers, a knockout cast and even a 5 year time leap that defied the odds to reinvent itself.
When the show began in Australia in 2005 it was commanding ratings of over 2 million viewers an episode. Together with Lost it led Seven’s resurgence in the ratings war against Channel Nine.
But now it’s finally time to say farewell. Susan, Lynette, Gabby and Bree make their exit in a two-hour finale at 10pm on Thursday night after 180 episodes (and every one of them titled after a Stephen Sondheim song).
Here are just a few of the faces we will remember!
