More Bones tipped for David Boreanaz

Bones is expected to remain past Season 8 with David Boreanaz intact.

Don’t expect David Boreanaz to be exiting Bones anytime soon, despite his previous tweets about becoming a “free agent” after Season 8.

Zap2It reports that creator Hart Hanson said he wasn’t planning Season 8 as a swan song for the show and FOX Entertainment president Kevin Reilly said he too thinks both the show and Boreanaz will stick around past this season.

“We’re negotiating with David. I don’t expect it to be the case” that he leaves the show, Reilly says. “Bones has really been one of the mainstays of our schedule … I certainly expect David to be part of it.”

Boreanaz also clarified at Comic-Con recently that he didn’t mean he was definitely leaving after Season 8.

“Personal business decisions are always made behind closed doors and should remain that way, but for me to go out and tweet annoying magic to certain people is fun to do. There’s always a message in there somewhere,” he said.

  2. I would love it if Bones was axed and Boreanaz went on to make Angel season 6, or a movie with Spike, Wesley, et all.

    I am aware he is too old now to play a vampire, and the show was axed 8 years ago, but one can dream. Lol.
