Nine’s push for a ‘family friendly’ Big Brother is getting such a reaction amongst core fans that some are getting very creative in social media.

One used the YouTube Hitler tantrum scene from the movie Downfall (recently used for an Olympics blast) to vent their feelings.

Another has taken to Facebook with a parody graphic of Nine’s evening schedule.

It lists all Nine shows as PG but highlights “coke-head” Charlie in Anger Management and “boobies, prostitution, boobies” in Underbelly.

Meanwhile “what really happened between Estelle and Ryan in between the interesting bits on Big Brother? “You’ll never know!”

Very cheeky.

It appears between the non news and current affairs offerings The Work Experience Kids were sent in to do the programming or there were plenty of April Fools Pranksters on the Loose.Here’s more ideas they could come up with….Every Kitchen Special Done by Gordon Ramsay,All of the Airline/Airport Series Repeated from the beginning and that description of Underbelly is so true.

  2. I have a strange feeling that there might be a Big brother – celebrity edition straight after Big brother finishes this one on that particular week. And might run bb celebrity edition for 2 months so pretty much having it finish before december. I wonder when does bb actually finishes ? what date someone please let me know the actual date. But david i still have my strong opinions that the reason why there’s so much hickups its because they have too much added on tv nightly like dallas.. underbelly and all that stuff and they only cocnentrate nighttime session. But very little during daytime after midday. I have not seen channel 9 ever promoting brand new shows or brand new this and that on every other months of the year. It seem that the other months was boring and not too much to see on tv. But aparently it seems at the moment in august they are trying putting far too much new stuff in august and september just when big brother seems to apear. I do agree at some extent with you david but my opinion is. If they kept it minimal they would not end up shuffing more new programes nightly this month because big brother show is a new programe and big brother show requiers sometimes alittle extra space in between incase they get it delay by 10minutes late as it finishes for the night. I only recall other months all new The voice and all new the block. But thats not alot of stuff… Alot of stuff i heard seems to be coming in august and september this year that is big brother show… dallas underbelly.. hoazat and much more. Thanks.

  3. @simmo3…if only networks accepted that the energy people put into such exercises is a mark of boredom and a desire for more challenging and interesting TV.. It’s also the case that these products demonstrate that the audience is far more ‘thinking’ that some in the industry believe.

  5. @swosha…I really laughed. For some reason I keep thinking of an Underbelly: Captain Cook series but anything kid oriented sounds naturally funny.

  6. This is what channel 9 does not realise.
    In august.. all new big brother on channel 9. Follow by in august… all new Dallas… same for Underbelly… same for all new come back the Footy show and much more. So i ask myself why everything new in August and trying so hard to fill it all from 7pm. until midnight ? Thats what i don’t understand.

    There has been alot of issues and mix ups and what not with the tv programming (time shedules) And to make it even worse without thinking. Daylight saving just around the corner making it more like a roulette moving things around like a circus each night on channel 9.

    To make it all simple and facts Why not have big brother show on a month that won’t have so much hickups? far away from daylight saving issues.. far away from all new american series and far away from new other longer shows that requiers longer hour(s) and or minutes. Because having big brother on here and then follow by anger management and then dallas and this and that it does just not work too well.. Because having too much new stuff and far too much new stuff at the same time. it makes in total: issues for channel 9 for not been smart. Its not like the Block and other shows has to be on in the same month as to when big brother show apears.. There is 12 months in the year. Surely the block does not cover the while 12months and surely big brother show does not cover the while 12months and all that. So lets get real about this. Does sound like channel 9 has issues because they are dump not to think twice before they do the move.

    1. Disagree. If you don’t understand why Nine is trying hard to fill 7pm – midnight then you need to get up to speed on how ratings work. Nine’s schedule is working pretty well, but additional BB content late night, online or on GO! would please fans.

  11. interesting, guess I can tuck the kids in and let them drift of watching Underbelly… I’m going to take a guess and say the next series of underbelly will be Underbelly: Hi5, who stole the shapes…

  13. The title of the Underbelly series made me grin. There’s been some humour traveling about creating titles for new Underbelly shows….quite a meme unto itself. 🙂

  17. Nine has their head up their own a*ses if they don’t believe that all this consumer backlash isn’t doing their brand immense damage. I find them unwatchable.
