She was a woman so many viewers fell in love with on MasterChef Australia but now Amina El Shafei is set to appear on Nine.
TV Tonight hears whispers she will appear on Christmas With The Australian Women’s Weekly soon, imparting her culinary skills.
Saudi-born El Shafei rose to prominence in the fourth season of MasterChef with her Middle Eastern and Asian dishes, and her Muslim background added to her bubbly personality.
Nine is understood to have two annual specials due to screen soon.

I caught a few minutes of an ACA report a few days ago of the “Asianisation” of a Sydney shopping centre. It was blatantly racist in its reporting. Pauline Hanson was even wheeled out to give her (yawn) views on the matter. It wasn’t even clear which variety of “Asian” was being talked about, but the tone used every time the reporter said the word “Asian” was … so very ACA.
Meanwhile Nine, the white bogans’ channel continues to run racist stories on ACA.
Wha? Channel Nine know that non-white people exist in Australia? But seriously, good on her.
