New titles for KidsCo

Grossology, Rolie Polie Olie, Jacob Two-Two and Babar all coming to KidsCo.

KidsCo has licensed new content titles for 2013 including Beyblade, Grossology, Rolie Polie Olie, Jacob Two-Two and Babar.

The content acquired from Nelvana, owned by KidsCo joint-venture partner, Corus Entertainment, will begin in January.

Crime-solving adventure series Grossology, with cases “too disgusting for adults,” will launch in Australia, South Africa and Asia alongside classic favourites Rolie Polie Olie, Jacob Two-Two and Babar. Japanese series Beyblade: V Force will launch in Europe.

Hendrik McDermott, Managing Director of KidsCo, said: “2012 has been a year of content and dubbing investment for KidsCo, with our 2013 programming line-up looking stronger than ever. Working closely with our strategic shareholders, Corus Entertainment and NBCUniversal, we will be delivering a completely refreshed on-air look and much stronger content proposition from January 8. Our new Nelvana titles will mean that our valued affiliates can continue to deliver a compelling range of KidsCo’s safe, feel-good and diverse content to audiences worldwide.”

KidsCo also recently commissioned Matchbox Pictures to produce Zuzu and the Supernuffs, and vacquired the rights to My Place and animation Shelldon.
