Updated: ELEVEN will screen the US version of Skins, which ran for one season on MTV USA.

A group of teenagers – four guys and five girls – are introduced in this US version of the hit UK series. Tonight, we meet Tony.

Tony is a smart kid. He undermines his dad on a daily basis and effortlessly covers up for his little sister’s covert delinquency. So smart, that he reckons he can get his best mate Sid laid… and make a profit. And Abigail’s party seems like the perfect place to do both.

Inevitably his weed deal goes wrong, and so does Sid’s quest to lose his virginity. but when the stolen car goes into the river and takes the unpaid drugs with it, Tony and his mates are really in trouble.

10.40pm Tuesday December 4th.

  1. Its just filler for the silly season. Its seems the multi channels are just as bad as the main. I did notice that House Of Lies is also on Thursday this week, but not on Monday the 3rd December. Got to keep an eye on these schedulers, they keep us on our toes. Will Ten be showing season 2 of the Glades and the remaining episodes of The Finder over the season to be merry I wonder. Not much to keep me indoors.

  3. Once again one of the commercial networks broadcasts an inferior US remake of a British show already seen on SBS or ABC.
    The US Skins was a hopeless flop that struggled to get an audience, it will more than likely do the same here. Anyone that saw the original is unlikely to watch this more than once, and even then only out of curiosity.

  6. Why are Eleven persisting with the US Skins, wasn’t it on a few months ago?
    The UK version is streets ahead of the US version, and it’s shown on SBS.

  8. If you never caught the first season of Skins on SBS, you’re still not going to see it on Eleven: they’re not showing the original UK series from 2007, they’re screening the US version from 2011.
