If it’s Wednesday it must be Micallef
Are we about to get back to back Shaun Micallef shows on alternate channels?

Shaun Micallef fans could be in for a double-dose of his erudite wit next month.
ABC is moving Mad as Hell from Fridays to Wednesdays, its traditional comedy nights.
It will return Wednesday February 20 at 8pm.
Meanwhile TEN has flagged 8:30 Wednesdays as its local drama slot this year.
With Mr. & Mrs Murder about to launch, it could mean back to back Micallef on alternate channels.
At least the two shows won’t go head to head and fans can happily switch from one to another.

I know i should suspend judgement on Mr & Mrs Murder until three eps are seen, but it does look somewhat anachronistic for 2013. More like 80’s pairings such as Scarecrow and Mrs King, Hart to Hart, Moonlighting etc. Tonally, i recognise that Shaun is in a genre of his own, but it does seem an oddity. I hope a fun, enjoyable oddity.
At least we can trust ABC to not run over time so we can switch to Ten and not miss the start…
I think mr and mrs murder will be a flop saw promos for it during MC and I agree with Charlie it looks woeful
Saw the trailer during Watchmen last night and it looked pretty good (the trailer, not Watchmen whose stodgy second half was made even less bearable by being shown in 10 minute chunks broken up by ads).
Anyway, thankfully the ABC has the good sense to put Mad As hell at 8:00 which means, as JB notes, that it will actually finish before 8:30. Looks like Wednesdays will be Micallef night.
I haven’t seen Mad As Hell so I would much rather watch Mr and Mrs Murder anyway.
It sounds really interesting and I like Shaun Micallef too.
Love Mad As Hell but the trailer for Mr & Mrs Murder looked woeful at best.
Will be happy to tune into Mr&Mrs Murder / Reef Doctors / Offspring / Puberty Blues on a Wednesday night.

See that’s actually true cos ABC will actually finish on time. Looking forward to Mr and Mrs Murder even if it is on Ten.
Oh great, I was hoping Mad As Hell was coming back. I loved that show and hadn’t heard any mention of it in this years line up. Looking forward to Mr & Mrs Murder, the previews make it look like a great show.
Love love this show,goShaun!
