Returning: The Marngrook Footy Show, Barefoot Sports.

The Marngrook Footy Show returns to NITV, carefully avoiding a head to head clash with Nine's Footy Show.

Marngrook_BTS_03-300x201The Marngrook Footy Show, formerly on ABC2, returns to television next month on NITV.

It’s back at 7:30pm on Thursday March 21st. That means it will avoid a head to head clash with Nine’s Footy Show which is moving to 8:30pm.

The Marngrook Footy Show provides an alternative to the other footy shows on TV. Its family friendly, inclusive, humorous and informative from an Indigenous perspective.

Barefoot Sports returns at 8:30pm.

    @Sydney2K: Those you’ve mentioned are two considerable factors that make the show very much an alternate take on the genre. It’s a show with a different perspective and I think there are other factors such as its overall tone when compared to the other shows which rely more on buffoonery, especially The Footy Show.

  2. Wwenrl, Barefoot RL became Barefoot Sports when NITV lost Marngrook. Now Marngrook is back it would make sense for Barefoot RL to come back, but unfortunately it appears it will remain as Barefoot Sports. Thankfully there’s tonnes of league content late night/early morning on NITV, but not a panel show.
