Returning: The Office

The final season of The Office (US) begins on ELEVEN next week.

2013-02-06_2347The final season of The Office (US) begins on ELEVEN next week.

It’s the beginning of the end for the US incarnation of The Office. Wrapping up in this its ninth season, it has proved to be far more than just an American remake of a great British comedy, critically acclaimed and hugely popular in the US, the world of dunder Mifflin has created characters and sayings that will be a part of the pop culture fabric for a long time to come.

In a nod to the changes to come, Jim and Dwight are thrown off balance by the arrival of two young employees who the others dub “the new Jim” and “Dwight, Jr.”

Meanwhile, Andy comes back from outward bound leadership training with a desire for vengeance on Nellie. And the most burning question in the episode is will Oscar adopt Angela’s cat?

  1. My favourite show currently still on air. Have loved it from the start, despite being initially wary that it would be a poor imitation of the British show on which it is based. Will be sad to see it go, but will take comfort in the fact that there are nine series of re-runs to enjoy. That’s what she said 🙂

  2. One of my all time fav shows.
A friend from US sent me a CDR of the first 2 episodes back in mid 2005 and have loved it ever since.

The show has changed a lot in the last 2 seasons and yes its time to wrap up, but I’m looking forward to S9 and the Dunder Mifflin Scranton
    gang one last time.

    Some of TVs great memories

  3. One of the few US copies of a Brit show that turned out better in the end. Will be sad to see it go.

We need to start up a petition to get Bob California his own spin-off show.
