Ricky Martin is now in the country ready to film his first promos and audition scenes for The Voice.

The Latino superstar flew into Sydney yesterday, according to news.com.au.

He tweeted:

Blind auditions begin filming on Thursday.

Professionals and semi-pro singers who traditionally steer clear of TV talent shows are now keen to jump on board The Voice, having seen what the show has been able to do for artists such as Darren Percival.

139 artists have been selected to blind audition for Seal, Joel Madden, Delta Goodrem and Ricky Martin.

Following the success of 2012 auditions submitted via The Voice website for this year’s show increased 100% on last year.

Second stage of production will take place after Easter when the judges return to Australia for the Live battle rounds.
