The Voice has announced its celebrity mentors for this year.
Ryan Tedder, OneRepublic frontman and songwriter for Beyonce, will team up with Delta Goodrem.
Jessica Mauboy will join with Ricky Martin.
Ben Lee partners with Team Joel.
And Sneaky Sound System singer, Connie Mitchell joins with Seal.
The four replace last year’s Darren Hayes, Megan Washington, Ricki Lee and Benji Madden.
Ricky Martin is said to have hand-picked Jessica Mauboy after watching The Sapphires on the plane to Australia last month.
Meanwhile Ben Lee said of Good Charlotte: “They had that unique mix of confidence, charisma and talent that left me unsurprised when their careers blew up several years later. It is this same blend of characteristics that make singers really connect to their audience and I’m excited to have the chance to help Joel bring out the best in his team this year.”
The Voice is expected to premiere in April.

Ryan Tedder is an overrated songwriter whose compositions all sound the same. So “meh” about him. But excited for Jessica Mauboy who I do think has an exceptional voice.
Ricky Martin and Jessica Mauboy! That seems great!!!!
“And former Sneaky Sound System singer, Connie Mitchell”??
think you have that info wrong David…… She isnt the “former” singer…… She is the only and current singer
JM: thanks, must pass it onto News.
Agree re: Ryan Tedder – OneRepublic are criminally ignored outside the US. Hope this gig raises Ryan and OR’s profile here.
The Voice is going to be a big hit this year in terms of ratings, I’m hoping it will be against X-factor has to be some more network competition! Hope X-factor fails this year just the whole production of it don’t like it anymore and the new judges and also Nat being there etc please enough said. The Voice has more presence better judges (except for Delta- needs to be replaced hopefully next year) but the format etc is so much more better and interesting–can’t wait for it to return—Go the Voice!! 🙂
Tipping The Voice to be bigger this year than last year unless House Rules becomes a blockbuster.
Ben Lee, seriously? Is he even relevant anymore? Good to see Ryan Tedder getting a gig. The Producers should have replaced Seal & given Ryan a full time gig!
Ben lees statement should have been:
“They play good Charlotte on the radio, and that’s the way I like it.”
Jess Mauboy can’t speak. She has trouble pronouncing words lol.
