Where is Hayley Lewis?
That’s the question I can’t help wondering when it comes to TEN’s promotion of The Biggest Loser.
In last week’s Press Release, TEN named all the contestants and three trainers Michelle Bridges, Shannan Ponton and The Commando.
But not Hayley Lewis.
In the latest on air promos you can see contestants and trainers.
But not Hayley Lewis.
And in a First Look clip in an arena of hundreds of spectators, Bridges, Ponton and The Commando are seen hosting with this year’s contestants.
But not Hayley Lewis.
Even on the show’s “About” page on the official website, Lewis ranks last behind the 3 trainers.
A TEN spokesperson told TV Tonight, The Biggest Loser has always been about the contestants, the trainers and their journey of transformation.
“Hayley is still an integral part of The Biggest Loser,” they said.
Just not integral enough to include on the official Press Release.

I’m pretty sure i’ve never seen the host of TBL in promos for the show. Most shows don’t really spruik about the host very much, especially TBL which is really all about the contestants. That’s why I said “slow news day”, because imo it’s a nothing story.
I checked 2012 promos and she was in them. It’s fine if not every story grabs every person, but it’s only slow news in December and January!
I hadn’t noticed the absence of Hayley, yet I’ve always thought the show really did better with her addition. I just wasn’t interested in the show in the seasons before her.
There are so many stories going on at once, the show definitely does need a host, unlike Masterchef which has judges to fill the role.
I dont think it is a issue, there are certain shows, like TBL, where the host is not a feature, only there as a formality to tie things together, you could say the same about darren mcmullen or bernard curry.
Yeah I concur, David. “Slow news day” and “first world problem” – two overused cliches in comments on news articles.
It wouldn’t be the first time that Ten publicity didn’t do its job properly!

Gaz “slow news day” is a heck of a cop out. I have always written major and minor stories, serious and lightweight. If it’s a slow news day I’ll happily take the rest of the day off.
Maybe the trainers are the new hosts?
