omg! Ajay on US TV

Ajay Rochester makes it onto US TV by talking to an entertainment show about a history of childhood abuse.

2013-05-01_0029Former Biggest Loser host and Excess Baggage contestant Ajay Rochester continues to pursue her dream of making it in the US, most recently talking to entertainment show omg! Insider which airs in Australia on her former network, TEN.

Rochester is currently appearing in a YouTube series Being Fat Sucks (ok it’s not quite the same as a network series) and told co-anchor Thea Andrews about childhood abuse being beaten by her stepmother with hairbrushes and “tortured” her with food.

Still battling weight problems, she claims she never had any junk food as a child so it now represents a “happy place” to her.

Rochester also recently went to the Rikki Lake Show where a psychic passed on a message from her birth mother.

“I can’t tell you… it was the most extraordinary moment of my life,” she said.

“I don’t need to punish myself anymore. What I need to do is live the life my mother gave me. And I am going to live it and nothing is going to stop me.”

Thea Andrews said Rochester was going to go to a weight loss clinic.

“She is a star,” said Andrews.

“We’re rooting for her,” added Kevin Frazier.

UK’s Daily Mail also published unflattering photos of her “spotted on Sunday at local favorite In-N-Out Burger, the latest in a series of calorific pit stops.” It incorrectly stated she is currently still Australia’s Biggest Loser host,

Rochester has previously appeared on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson after being pulled out of the audience with a friend.

  1. “But I got more loving as a big girl than I did when I was thin.”

  2. OMG! How appropriate. I don’t find her disgusting and I feel for any problems she may have/had, but I wonder why they consider this a story worth devoting so much time to. It has been an ongoing story, for nearly a week now. I didn’t think she even had a profile in the US. Popping up in the audience of a couple of talk shows hardly makes her a “star”.
