Deborah Hutton to host ASTRA Awards

Foxtel Movie Show shost Deborah Hutton will host the 11th ASTRA Awards at the Sydney Theatre, Walsh Bay, on Thursday July 25.

The awards are Pay TV’s annual night to recognise its best for the last 12 months.

“I couldn’t be more thrilled to be hosting the annual ASTRA Awards. It’s really quite an honour and such a wonderful evening shared with peers in applauding all that’s great about our industry. Fingers crossed I don’t trip on my gown heading onto the stage…now that would make an entrance!” Hutton said.

ASTRA CEO Andrew Maiden said, “Deborah will bring both her warmth and high calibre media experience to the hosting role,” he said.

There are 75 nominees in 21 categories with nominees for the subscriber-voted categories yet to be announced.

Voting opens on Tuesday June 4 and Foxtel subscribers can vote for their favourite personalities and programs by SMS to 1998 8899, on facebook.com/ASTRAawards, via Channel 333 and online at astraawards.com.
