His latest day was travel from Poochera to Ceduna in western South Australia.

Here is an update from Nine:

Twas the morning of Day 9 when all through Poochera not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. But with a clash and a clatter, and riding for a heartfelt cause, Crawf returned to the Eyre Highway and began the 139km leg to Ceduna.

Dense fog covered the view but Mother Nature needs to learn that she must do more than that to stop Shane Crawford riding into the great unknown to raise money for Breast Cancer Network Australia.

Being the shortest ride yet, Crawf cruised along the Eyre averaging 40-45km/h at some points and rode 90 km before stopping for some of the delicious scones left over from the Kyancutta road stop yesterday.

Back on the road again, with 49km to go and less than three spins of the pedal, Crawf was forced to pull over after a convoy of wide-load machinery consumed the double lane highway.

Thirty kilometres down the road a flash of red and blue sirens joined the Tour de Crawf procession and he was escorted into the beautiful town of Ceduna. A reception of almost 100 people awaited as he dismounted to the stunning view of the old wooden pier stretching into the pristine water, famous for its oyster delicacies.

Crawf made the most of his early afternoon finish, taking time out to rest his legs and refocus on the remainder of his epic journey. He took some time out this afternoon to meet the local pink ladies who have been affected by breast cancer.

Tomorrow morning Crawf will hit the road early to ride 151 km to Nundroo.
