TEN is stepping up its current affairs portfolio once more with a new show to be presented by Hugh Riminton.
Revealed “will take viewers behind the headlines as it covers the very best local and international stories” with “interviews, profiles and investigative reports on a wide variety of topical issues.”
Produced by TEN News, it will also feature reports from Brad McEwan and Danielle Isdale plus stories from CBS News as part of the network’s output deals.
EN’s Head of News and Current Affairs, Anthony Flannery, said: “The name of Revealed says it all. Our aim is to reveal the heart of stories, to peel back the layers and reveal the in-depth, behind-the-scenes stories that viewers want to see and hear.
“How will we do that? By tapping one of the giants of the global news business, CBS, and our own remarkable talent base at Network TEN. Revealed will be a must-watch for anyone who is interested in news and the news behind the news.”
It will premiere in early September.

Will probably give it a go, depends on when it’s on and what it’s up against.
@ryano – Smart programming, in as much as TEN hasn’t said where or when. Yes TEN can use any 60 Minutes material that Nine doesn’t want. They have for a long time. When they were a real news station TEN used 60M segments virtually every day in their 6am and 9am News.
Suspect it’s a weekly show. Not sure if primetime or maybe even Sunday mornings yet.
is this true? because i can’t find another article on this. or is it an exclusive?
Fabulous to see Hugh being given his own project. Thrilled Hamish MacDonald is nowhere to be seen with this show. He is totally overrated and was shoved down audiences throats as Ten’s saviour last year.
Smart programming. I wonder if Ten can use stories from US 60 Minutes?
Hugh’s a great asset with lots of experience. I’d have him anchoring the nightly bulletin. Put him up against Overton and Ferguson.
Great news! A real professional in his field. Watch his nightly reports on the election – easily the best & most balanced on commercial TV.
No opinion about the show…but I like Hugh..always have…so I will give it a fair try…
David did it get renewed as it was getting about 450,000 per ep
Channel ten needs to provide more information on whether this show is nightly of once a week. Weekly would be better.
Hope it lasts longer than the show with Hamish Macdonald or George Negus.
Danielle Isdale even featured in the Negus show.
Where is Hamish Macdonald by the way? He doesn’t even present the Late News anymore.
Hamish is on annual leave and will be returning to Late News. His series was 6 eps which aired as 3×2.
What ever happened to Hamish’s The Truth Is?
I don’t have good feelings about this one..
Will this mean Hugh will be leaving the bureau in Canberra?
Doesn’t say it will be a nightly. Maybe only a weekly. Whatever happened to the Hamish McDonald thing that ran twice, I think?
This isn’t necessarily a weeknight thing is it?
Could quite possibly be on Sunday’s at 6.30?
Sounds like a once a week show to me. Hopefully…
So ten is going to move the project again I assume. I think the show might rate better for ten if its on a little later in the night, maybe after the project or before the late news.
Seriously 10 is it going to be as revealing as having Dr Patrick on your news bulletin last night……news should never be a segue to advertise your programmes?
Sounds more like a once a week show – like 60 Minutes or Sunday Night – would work better as once a week.
Ten’s media release sounds like it’s been written by one of the Seven news ‘beatup’ specialists.
Maybe 6pm? Move Simpsons back to ELEVEN
Leave The Project where it is, it’s performing decently.
@ David Knox – any indication of a channel/timeslot? It could go head-to-head with ACA or TT by screening on ONE at 6:30pm/7pm. But nevertheless I just hope it doesn’t mean yet another bump to The Project.
Didn’t George Negus do something similar, look how that turned out.
