[V] at Splendour in the Grass

Channel [V] has two music specials coming up filmed at Splendour in the Grass this month.

Kicking off Thursday, August 8 at 4pm, Splendour in the Grass 2013 is a one hour special filmed across the three-day event. Hosted by Billy Russell, Carissa Walford and Marty Smiley this is your guide to all the music and mayhem of Splendour, loaded with all the behind the scenes action, artist interviews and more. Catch interviews with The National, Of Monsters & Men, Bernard Fanning, TV On The Radio, James Blake, HAIM and more, before they all take to the stage. We also chat to NZ darling, 16-year-old Lorde who stepped in at the last minute to replace Frank Ocean after he cancelled his appearance.

Then on Saturday, August 17 at 4.30pm, Danny Clayton is Road Trippin’ – Splendour in the Grass 2013. Not your regular look at a festival, Danny will get down and dirty to bring you a full 360 degree look at getting to, exploring and experiencing Splendour from a festivalgoer’s perspective but with the added bonus of a AAA pass. His journey begins in Sydney where US rockers, Portugal. The Man jump in his van for the road trip north. Then things get loco when Danny is unleashed on the festival. From music, weddings and karaoke, to hunting down artists, the campgrounds, getting amongst the mud and more, in true Danny fashion he manages to squeeze every single last drop out of Splendour.
