TV Tonight update: New-look TV Calendar

TV Tonight's Coming Soon section gets a new coat of paint, with a new-look Calendar grid!

2013-09-30_1620With all this fast-tracking going on, today I have revamped the site’s Coming Soon section into a new-look Calendar grid!

You can find it under the Programming tab in the top Menu (just hover your mouse and it will appear).

Now you will be able to see the week and a month at a glance to see what is starting and finishing.  As with the previous Coming Soon section, this lists Premieres and Finales of key shows.

It will also now include key Foxtel titles which I am slowly building into this section.

You also have the option to view the Calendar as either a monthly grid (recommended) or a list, with a button in the top right hand corner.

If you click on a specific show you will find Airdate / Finale scheduling info, and maybe something on the synopsis as previously listed in Programming.  Remember that Programming is still useful for individual episode and scheduling news, Calendar is just to indicate when a season starts / stops. These are really complementary to one another….

Not every title will be listed, but it is designed to keep you across most of the big stuff. Only select sporting events will be included.

As today is the last day of the month there isn’t a lot listed for September, but you’ll get the idea of it if you check out October.

Hope you like the new feature, everyone!

Thanks for your continued support.

Cheers, David.

  1. Fantastic David,

This will will make everyone’s planning a whole lot easier from now on.

One minor glitch I’m having is your home link and any other link on that calender page are not working?

    Cheers,
    John

  2. really good improvement , I have been waiting a while for this and +1 for daily picks (on FTA) so we don’t missing any good ones!
Also I’d bet great if these where on a RSS feed too!

  3. Nice work David. Now all we need is an “add to my calendar” function. (Joking!)

However – and more seriously – are you able to add your Daily Picks to the calender as well? That might be handy.
