Duchovny, Anderson want another X Files movie.

"Gillian and I want to do it, so it's really up to Twentieth Century Fox at this point," says X Files star David Duchovny.

2013-10-14_0148Is the truth still out there?

Two years ago there was speculation about a possible third X Files movie. Now the key creatives want to make it happen including David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson.

The actors got together on the weekend to mark the 20th Anniversary of the series’ premiere and participated in a panel discussion for fans at The Paley Center for Media in New York.

“All the principals are on board,” including X Files creator Chris Carter, Duchovny has now said. “Gillian and I want to do it, so it’s really up to Twentieth Century Fox at this point.”

Anderson said if fans want another film they should let their voices be heard.

“If it takes fan encouragement to get Fox interested in that then I guess that’s what it would be,” she said.

Duchovny also told fans he believed Scully and Mulder were “married” in the 2008 movie, The X-Files: I Want to Believe after they became romantically involved. But it was never depicted in the film.

  1. I loved the first few seasons. But after Duchovny demanded that the production be dragged to LA and, millions of dollars and directing credits it was more miss than hit.

There is little after that I would ever want to watch again and the movies were bad. If you want FBI agents chasing things in misty Canadian forests, then Sam and Dean are much more convincing.

  2. I loved the series up until Mulder left.. and I loved the first movie, but the second was just crap.

Please leave me with the good memories of seasons 1-7 and leave it be.
