FOX News takes a leap of faith with a new-look newsroom with giant touchscreens for their staff.
“Just like you, we get our news from multiple sources. This is the place viewers can watch us sort it all out as it happens,” said presenter Shepard Smith.
“In order for any of that to happen we had to completely overhaul the way our news-gathering works.”
It’s a radical change for the news broadcaster, which doesn’t exactly have the best reputation in the US.
Guess the proof will be in the giant touchscreen pudding, if they are able to facilitate news faster and more comprehensively than their rivals.

“It’s gonna make us fast”. No point in being fast if it’s wrong, like reporting of the Boston bombing, or showing things that weren’t meant to get to air – like live coverage of a suicide.
Gone are the days when journos would actually go out and gather real news, how sad.
I really dig that! Thanks for the clip, David.
Only in America.
What’s the point in using 55 inch touch screens that close? Would love to see the headaches that causes the staff literally!
When will these people learn ……… its not about the Technology …….. we just want the News!
Is this Willy Wonkas version of a newsroom and they’re Oompa Loompas using those screens ?
What happens during a terrorist attack when they have hundreds of images of dead bodies and mangled limbs to sort through?
