Yes, but whilst he skilfully avoided a direct answer, and rightly so, as no doubt All Governments world wide, engage in it, or readily accept the info from those who expertly do.

But in true Abbott Form by ‘Implication’ he said enough to imply, so don’t blame us, Ask the previous Labor Government, and it would be interesting to know just how long it has gone on, and who was in power at the beginning and the reasons used to justify such spying.

Interesting choice of a long used quote at the end of your comment, so I will try to reply in a way that someone expert in avoiding a direct answer, may reply.
Good quote Leigh (think, think, thinking) a very good quote Leigh( nervous cough, nervous cough, splutter splutter thinking, desperately thinking)I’d say it is an excellent quote, yes indeed an excellent quote Leigh (nervous coughing and spluttering, at last a back on message clearing of the throat).

Yes Leigh there were many prepared to jump into bed with us, But Unlike The Previous Government we will treat many of them with loving respect and endow them untold wealth and favours in return for their wild claims of our prouesse and how much less endowed the others were, (cough, cough) and think, if we had just lied there, there will be some who’ll not respect us after they ‘wake up’ to find all we intended was to…

  3. Just watched it…total brick wall up…I wonder what Allan Pease (Body Language expert) would make of it..a lot of throat clearing…but PM is right in saying…any alleged spying ..did not start with them coming to office.
Not much to watch really….all a bit flat.

I don’t think bravery enters into it, to me it was to virtually rub Leigh Sales nose in it, after all he has got what he wanted, and that was to be PM,( just look at his preceding 6 years and where PM stood for Poor Me) and just look at their arrogance as all of the Mr Abbott and crew think they are now untouchable.

If the media had any guts, they would treat Mr Abbott and Co. with the same disdain and in the same way they and most of us are now being treated, and I wonder how the their egos would react if Mr Abbott and Co. do as they have been doing and repeating the same old pre-election platitudes but to a room full of empty press gallery seats. except for a lone Andrew Bolt and occasionally Rupert when in Australia lording his latest protege.

  5. Leigh Sales tore Abbott apart, you can see why Abbott and Co stick to the likes of Andrew Bolt, or not answering any questions at all. Sales interview confirmed that Abbott is Australia’s George Bush!!!

  6. Why wasn’t Ms Sales in the same studio as the PM?

Mr Scott needs to find a decent interviewer.

Actually Ms Sales, not all Australians want the boats stopped, and I’d thank you not to speak for me. I personally would welcome many more boats.

  7. I tried to watch question time today…I find him just to hard to watch..maybe will watch on Iview…where I can flick through the really cringy bits.
