2013-12-25_2321Melbourne viewers will get to see their own midnight fireworks next week when Seven screens a local New Year’s Eve event, hosted by Geoff Cox.

The one hour show also includes some Seven bloopers from 2013 -could be fun.

Every celebratory moment leading up to the NYE countdown will be live on our TV screens when Channel 7 Melbourne kick-starts 2014 from Docklands at 11.00pm, Tuesday 31 December.

Host, Geoff ‘Coxy’ Cox, says he will get the party started with a collection of Channel 7 blooper moments he has saved up over the year.

“We’ve uncovered Channel Seven’s best bloopers of 2013 and I can’t wait to show them so we can just laugh our way into 2014,” Coxy said.

Joining Coxy on the night, Seven News reporter Emily Angwin will recap the biggest news stories of the year; Seven News sports reporter Nathan Templeton will join the crowds in Docklands and also review his favourite sporting moments of the year.

Winners & Losers’ Virginia Gay delivers her unique showbiz review; and Rhys Uhlich reviews the top viral social media moments of 2013. As our city skylines prepare to explode in colour, Coxy’s Big Break reporter Lee Chan will join merry-makers in Kings Domain.

Molly Meldrum will deliver his trademark music wrap for 2013 and says his new year’s resolution is “to continue to stay away from bloody ladders”.

11pm Tuesday on Seven Melbourne.
