  1. Finally getting to watch this episode of WDYTYA only to find out that Amanda’s ancestor Harry Bruce was a Cobb & Co driver who travelled from Port Douglas to the Atherton Tablelands and beyond. Harry would have stopped off at a place called ‘The Weatherboards’ (now called Wetherby Station) which was on the Bump Track. This was the only way to get from Port Douglas to the Tablelands at that time and The Weatherboards was owned by my 3xgreat grandparents William and Elizabeth Groves, So chances are Harry knew my ancestors as Elizabeth was said to make the best scones and provided refreshments for the travelers after they made the steep trip up from Port Douglas.

  2. I also love that WDYTYA shows these personalities as normal people exploring their pasts.

We can see another side to them behind their familiar public image.

  3. Love the Australian version of WDYTYA. Apart from the research and discovery itself the show is also a great lesson about Australia’s history. Should be another interesting series.

  4. Great stuff. I love those three additions. Should be interesting finding out Goodesy’s family history.

This a great series for SBS. Commercial networks – stay away!
