The British press is already going gaga for Ms. Minogue, describing her as “fun and mischievous,” especially after her flirting with singer Leo Ihenacho, 31, on the talent show.
More importantly, her debut on the programme – along with Ricky Wilson from Kaiser Chiefs – helped the first show to an average audience of 8.4 million viewers, well above the 6.2 million who tuned in last year. It also thrashed ITV’s celebrity diving show Splash! with an audience of 3.7 million.
Minogue and Will.i.am join Nine’s new series of The Voice, expected in April.
