And the difference between Sci Fi & TV1 and Syfy and TV Hits is????, please advise looks all the same shows in same timeslots except Syfy has HD
Apart from the lack of any Star Trek series on SyFy not much has changed but I have noticed the add breaks some suddenly and have no channel logo like the have on most Foxtel and FTA channels. Makes for a messy and sudden break to and from add breaks. Hope this changes soon.
Exciting to see new channel Syfy launching Foxtel for the first time.
The movie channels have been given a slight tweak as well. New logos and new names.
Foxtel Movies Premiere = Premiere Movies
Foxtel Movies Family = Family Movies
Foxtel Movies Action/Adventure = Action Movies
Foxtel Movies Comedy = Comedy Movies
Foxtel Movies Drama/Romance = Romance Movies
Foxtel Movies Thriller Crime = Thriller Movies
Foxtel Movies Masterpiece = Masterpiece Movies
Syfy and new Universal presentation needs a lot of work.
There are very abrupt cuts between programming and advertising, and especially on Syfy, ad breaks are in inappropriate places.
Also from today, 111 Hits is now 111. Strange move.
what has happened to the old australia shows, they use to be on universal, but havent see much of that lately,
So we finally get a law and order channel on foxtel. As they won’t bring on a soap channel. So they ruin the universal channel. Bored already with the new channels.
LOL to the new Syfy channel not having rights to Star Trek though
Universal channel suddenly has become the Law & Order channel and lacks alot of those quirky movies it used to have.
I’m pretty sure TVH!TS will quickly become known as, well, a slight rearranging of those letters.
Reminds me of a similar channel that used to air on SKY NZ many years ago. It was called Orange, but was mostly known as “Ancient Orange”.
Some better treatment of USA network dramas would be good, but it will probably just old seasons as Seven has most of them.
Seven dumped Royal Pains from 72 on Friday nights and could be bothered to even burn it off over Summer. They appear to have forgotten about Covert Affairs this year and it could be 9 months again before we get to see the second block of S3.
Ten weren’t much better when they had the rights to them. At least they have shown the final season of In Plain Sight with S4.
@ David Knox – I’m pretty sure I Dream of Jeannie and Bewitched are on 111 not TVH!TS. We can blame a late night for the typo =p Happy New Year!
has anything actually changed? Certainly not by the look of the line up on TV HITS.. Re branding, “on air packaging” and a new tagline doesn’t exactly equate to change…
