TV Tonight turns 7!

TV Tonight chalks up another year of lovin' all things telly.

2014-01-04_2337January 5 marks another birthday for TV Tonight, now 7 years online and counting…

In this time the site has grown enormously in both content and traffic from its humble beginnings as a radio drive segment all about “TV tonight.”

There are now more than 29,000 posts (including over 300 during the current Hiatus period), over 300,000 comments, 45,000 registered ID accounts and nearly 13,000 Twitter followers.

Last year the site hit highs of 500,000 Unique Visitors and 2 million page views per month.

It’s due to your loyalty and passion that TV Tonight is a recognised brand. The site continues to be viewed as a “go-to” site by both industry and public, regularly quoted by wider media and watched by network executives. As one network said many years ago, “You blogged. We listened.”

Last year the site added Timeshifted ratings in response to concerns about the media’s focus on Overnight ratings. These help you monitor the shows that are attracting extra viewers up to 7 days after their original broadcast. The Calendar replaced the Coming Soon section and includes the ability to import to your own Calendar -creating SMS alerts on some smartphones.

More developments are planned for 2014.

Voting recently concluded in the TV Tonight Awards for 2013.  Who won, who lost? Your results are about to be published.

Here’s to another big year ahead!

Cheers, David.
