  1. Would’ve prefered Sandra to return to Late News but Hugh will be great. Hugh and Sandra at 5pm will be an excellent duo. If they went head to head with Ferguson & Overton they’d overtake Ferguson in no time & eventually Overton. Ten do an hour long news bulletin so much better.

  2. “dont understand the why?”

They’re trying to build a news brand and Hugh was part of Kerry Packer’s Nine and the Who’s Who of News. So was Mike Munro. I’m guessing it’s a stepping stone to Hugh fronting a 6pm bulletin.

  3. Good to see ten going for duel presenters again…..It is a point of difference for them….But given i am not in sydney, I hope this will happen nationally.

But It is a waste at 5pm. 6pm-7pm dual presentation with Project at 7pm is the way to go.

    It just makes sense!

  4. I am a big fan of both Hugh and Sandra…but I dont understand this move…5pm news was/is just fine with Sandra….not complaining…just dont understand the why?

  5. Congrats to Danielle Isdale for her job filling in. I thought she did a good job (certainly better than the train wreck of watching Natasha Exelby do it) and certainly she shows a lot potential for the future, but I must admit I’d been watching less since Hamish left.
I love Hugh though, so will probably get back into the routine of watching every night again.
I reckon Ten have a good news lineup here. Personally I would rank all these three above the main presenters on 7 and 9.
