TV Tonight can confirm that HBO telemovie The Normal Heart will air on Foxtel in August.
The telemovie about the outbreak of HIV / AIDS in the 1980s was adapted by Larry Kramer, from his award-winning play of the same name, and directed by Ryan Murphy.
It aired in the US earlier this week with an impressive cast: Mark Ruffalo, Matt Bomer, Taylor Kitsch, Jim Parsons, Julia Roberts, Jonathan Groff, Alfred Molina, Denis O’Hare and B.D. Wong and scored at 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Academy Award® nominee Mark Ruffalo, Matt Bomer, Taylor Kitsch, Emmy® winner Jim Parsons and Academy Award® winner Julia Roberts star in THE NORMAL HEART. Directed by Emmy® winner Ryan Murphy and written by Academy Award® nominee Larry Kramer, adapting his groundbreaking Tony Award-winning play of the same name, the drama tells the story of the onset of the HIV-AIDS crisis in New York City in the early 1980s, taking an unflinching look at the nation’s sexual politics as gay activists and their allies in the medical community fight to expose the truth about the burgeoning epidemic to a city and nation in denial.
8:30pm Sunday August 3rd on Masterpiece.

I forgot to put that Jim Parsons played the same role as he did when it was on Broadway
I have seen this it is very moving and A great watch. Produced by Brad Pitt
August? What planet are they on? For what Foxtel are charging each month, I expect premium HBO content to be aired much closer to its US airdate than some 8-10 weeks later. Not good enough.
