ABC radio presenter James Valentine (Exhumed) will front a new Arts and Entertainment show, The Mix on ABC News 24 from mid-June.
The half-hour program aims to cover “some things you know about, some you love, and some things only your kids will have heard of” on art, television, movies, books, games, apps, music, festivals, gigs, events, celebrities, theatre, circus and more.
Arts reporters, including Anne Maria Nicholson, Siobhan Heanue and other contributors from ABC Arts, Radio and Television The Mix will showcase the best ABC coverage.
Director of ABC News Kate Torney said, “I am delighted that James will be working with News 24 and bringing his talents and experience in media and entertainment to The Mix. The program is part of the ABC’s recently announced arts programming initiatives and James is the perfect host.”
Valentine added, “It’s all one thing to me these days. Opera, Twitter, pop music, high art, television – I can’t tell the difference. And like many of us, I enjoy it all.”
