Aussie content sweeps the ratings

Ratings: Aussie-made content enjoyed a clean sweep of the Top 20 shows, as Nine wins its third week in a row.

ABC: 17.5

Aussie-made content enjoyed a clean sweep of the Top 20 shows, with the highest-rated international title, Resurrection, landing at #24.

Best brands for Nine were The Voice (Sun: 1.98m), 60 Minutes (1.66m), Nine News (Sun: 1.55m) and A Current Affair (1.04m).

On Seven their best brands were House Rules (Mon: 1.49m), Seven News (Sun: 1.34m) and Home and Away (977,000).

Old School (862,000), ABC News (Sat: 847,000) and Call the Midwife (837,000) scored for ABC1.

Masterchef Australia (Sun: 925,000), Offspring (832,000) and NCIS (681,000) were TEN’s strongest.

SBS ONE was led by Walking Through History (366,000), French Food Safari (341,000) and Secrets of the Manor House (339,000).

GO! enjoyed a boost but ABC News 24 was down on the preceding week when the Budget was revealed.

Nine won key demos 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54.

Nine ranked first on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday while Seven topped Wednesday and Saturday. ABC defeated TEN on Monday, Friday and Saturday.

Seven was victorious in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth while Nine took Sydney and Melbourne.

This week sees State of Origin underway, giving Nine the upper hand.

  1. i wasn’t impressed with the Voice during blind auditions but last nights show was fantastic. i hope they can continue with more singing & less endless talking about it, it will make it more enjoyable for me anyway.

    Too bad its not a true amateur competition anymore like Aust Idol was where they really discovered talents, many of the more recent contestants on talent shows have already had professional experience.

  2. David, your ratings figures for Friday show that the 9 network won Friday 31.0 to 7’s 29.5 and not a win to 7 as stated in your article.
