FOX Sports secures French Open deal

FOX Sports will broadcast the French Open exclusively under a new four-year deal through to 2017.

2014-05-23_0152FOX Sports will broadcast the French Open exclusively under a new four-year deal (2014 to 2017) as the official Australian broadcaster of the Roland-Garros International Tennis Championships.

With the second tennis Grand Slam of the year about to get underway, FOX Sports will be the only place to see all the action – with Live and Exclusive coverage of all days of the 2014 French Open Championship.

Only on FOX Sports will you see the world’s best tennis players grace the famous clay courts of Paris, from this Sunday, May 25, through to Sunday, June 8, with Live and Exclusive coverage of all days, including both the Ladies’ and Men’s Semi-Finals and Finals.

FOX Sports’ complete coverage will deliver fans more than 130 hours of viewing across the tournament, including a 30-minute preview show ‘The Daily Serve – French Open’ for the first 13 days.

‘The Daily Serve – French Open’ hosted by the country’s most recognised tennis commentator and analyst, Wally Masur, alongside FOX Sports’ Adam Peacock, will look at all the previous day’s results plus the upcoming Live action.

FOX Sports CEO, Patrick Delany, said: “There is an elite group of iconic, global sporting events which attract the best of the best to compete, and the French Open is one of them.

“The French Open consistently attracts the world’s best players, to battle it out on the distinctive bright orange clay for tennis glory.

“Isn’t it great to see some of the oldest and most distinctive of sporting events – such as the US Masters, Wimbledon and, of course, the French Open – hold their prestige and allure among a sea of Sports events,” Delany concluded.
