Joan Ferguson set to take charge

Cool and measured, it's pretty clear that Joan Ferguson is only just warming up...

Screen Shot 2014-05-04 at 1.42.12 am.jpgShe’s not yet fully “The Freak” but Pamela Rabe will impress in her first outing as Joan Ferguson in the second season premiere of Wentworth.

Stepping into the Governor’s shoes following the exit of Erica Davidson, Ferguson will familiarise herself very quickly with the lay of the land amongst both prisoners and staff.

With a cool and measured performance it’s pretty clear she is only just warming up, people.

Bring it on.

Wentworth is back 8:30pm Thursday May 20 on SoHo.

  1. Can’t wait. The writing was so strong in season 1, I think we can all forgive the tinkering with the original canon coz what they’ve come up with has been fantastic.

  2. I wonder what happened to Erica maybe she was sacked for having a fling with franky cant wait for season 2 the original the freak would have done anything to be guvoner

  3. I’m ever so slightly disappointed they have made her Governor, she was never governor in the original series (well, not for more than a couple of short stints). It was her constant attempts to try and get rid of the governor (erica first, then ann reynolds) that made her so dangerous.
However having said that, I’m sure the writers have made it work. I just think it would have been great to have a season of her being a plain old corrupt officer. Although maybe in season 3 they could demote her to deputy and bring in Ann Reynolds…
