WA Screen Awards 2014: nominees

Nominees include An Accidental Soldier, Comic Book Heroes and Who Do You Think You Are?

2013-09-11_1843An Accidental Soldier, Comic Book Heroes and Who Do You Think You Are? are amongst the nominees in the WA Screen Awards.

The awards, which merge both film and television into multiple categories, will be hosted by Claire Hooper will on Monday 14 July.

Nominees CEO of FTI, Paul Bodlovich said, “As well as being an opportunity to celebrate the diverse achievements of the WA Screen Sector, the WASAs are an opportunity for all emerging, aspiring and professional screen artists to come together and connect as a community. FTI congratulates all of this year’s successful nominees and sincerely thanks our tireless judges who had the unenviable task of deciding which projects and individuals were most worthy of recognition.”

BEST DIRECTION – LONG FORM
Comic Book Heroes – Nicholas Dunlop
Girt By Sea – Shane McNeil
Wadjemup: Black Prison – White Playground – Glen Stasiuk
Who Do You Think You Are? Series 5, Episode 25: Rove McManus – Victoria Midwinter Pitt

An Accidental Soldier was also nominated for BEST VISUAL FX, BEST SOUND – LONG FORM, and BEST PRODUCTION DESIGN – LONG FORM.

Comic Book Heroes was also nominated for BEST ORIGINAL MUSIC – LONG FORM.

Who’s Been Sleeping in My House? was nominated for BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY – LONG FORM and BEST EDITING – LONG FORM.
