Final Origin match scores 2.14m

Ratings: No dead rubber in the TV numbers, with Origin dominating Wednesday viewing.

2014-07-10_0959With the Blues already having taken 2 matches from the Maroons, the final match was always going to be a ‘dead rubber’ game.

But there’s nothing shabby about 2.05m viewers. Together with viewers watching on GEM in Perth, the total number was 2.14m for Nine, leaving the rest to fare as best they could.

Nine Network easily won the night with 39.6% then Seven 21.1%, TEN 18.3%, ABC 15.5% and SBS 5.6%.

Elsewhere for Nine, Nine News was 1.29m / 1.18m, A Current Affair was 1.02m and Hot Seat 689,000.

Seven News (1.25m / 1.14m) was best for Seven then Home and Away (922,000), Million Dollar Minute (640,000) and Border Security: International (577,000). Even taking Origin into account, Seven’s Iron Lady movie struggled on 312,000 -fourth in its slot.

MasterChef Australia stood up very well against Origin at 971,000 and Offspring was 738,000. TEN Eyewitness News was 678,000, The Project was 635,000 / 366,000 and The Good Wife was 333,000.

ABC News (844,000) led ABC1 then 7:30 (715,000), QI (622,000 / 441,000), Billy Connolly’s Big Send Off (612,000) and a repeat of Julia Zemiro’s Home Delivery (244,000).

FIFA World Cup Germany v Brazil pulled a big crowd of 511,000 on SBS ONE. In primetime it was Tour de France (232,000), SBS World News (157,000) and Walking Through History (155,000).

Neighbours returned to the top of multichannels at 298,000.
