New hosts join Studio 3

ABC3's Studio 3 welcomes new presenters Tim Matthews, Ivy Latimer and Grace Koh.

Studio 3ABC3 has announced 3 additional faces for Studio 3 following its open call for additional presenters.

They are Tim Matthews, Ivy Latimer and Grace Koh.

They will co-host alongside current hosts James Elmer and Liv Phyland.

The show aimed at 8-13 year-olds links kid’s titles with interviews, performances, stunts, viewer interaction, and more. Produced at ABC’s Ripponlea studios, Studio 3 churns out up to 55 links a week, all ranging from 1 – 3 minutes.

Jan Stradling, Executive Producer of Children’s Television said, “To provide the ABC3 audience with even more entertainment, we wanted to find some exciting new faces for Studio 3. The three young hosts we’ve discovered each have something different to offer but all have one thing in common that kids love – they’re funny.

“Like James and Liv, our established Studio 3 presenters, Grace, Tim and Ivy are authentic, aspirational and happy to give anything a go. From jumping out of planes to making the whole school laugh – it’s all part of the job.”

Tim Matthews is a chicken-schnitzel-loving joker from Sydney who likes to make people laugh. A massive soccer fan, Tim can also play the guitar, is an avid drawer of still life and has two terrifyingly difficult cowlicks which cause great hair styling grief.

“Gaining new friends and having new experiences is what I’m looking forward to most while working on Studio 3. Oh, and working on world domination…it so happens, it starts with ABC3!” said Tim.

Born in the US, Ivy Latimer is a natural comedian and was one of the top 12 finalists in the 2012 Raw Comedy Festival. As a preschooler, she thought she was a dog. Luckily for us, she moved to Newcastle when she was six, realised she was human, and is now ready to jump into her new role.

Ivy said “I’m an exciting new glitch in the Studio 3 system so look out as I plan on showcasing my 1000 different facial expressions and creating a lot of laughs.”

Last, but not least is Grace Koh. Pirouetting her way onto Studio 3 from Tasmania, Grace is a football-kicking, karate kid by day and tutu wearing ballerina by night. A tomboy at heart, Grace is a professional pizza eater who loves trying new things from windsurfing and cheerleading to singing in a choir.

“Being on Studio 3 has always been a dream for me because I had so much fun watching it as a kid. I even have a tweet from early 2013 where I stated that working on ABC3 was my ‘life dream’ and now here I am!” said Grace.

Studio 3 screens weekdays at 5pm and at 4pm on weekends.
