Update: The Voice: Kids

Updated: Nine adds a Wednesday episode and bumps Sunday to a later start.

tvk-aud-day2-4101Nine has fixed its Wednesday night scheduling this week, not prepared to lose to it to TEN for a second week.

Instead it has added an episode of The Voice: Kids at 7:30pm.

That will pit one Shine-produced show against another, with MasterChef. Not the first time that’s happened but not exactly what any production company would prefer.

With Seven screening X Factor (due to The Voice final tomorrow), we’re actually back to 3 Reality shows head to head.

But it’s a move that will see Nine more competitive instead of tired Big Bang repeats.

Nine still refuses to send Amendments to TV Tonight, unhappy their changes lead to negative comments….

It remains the only network to adopt this line.

UPDATE: Nine bumps its 6:30 Sunday screenings to 7:40pm, with a 9:10pm finish, which I suspect will probably be late for a lot families.

  1. The Nine Network has a track record of treating its viewers with contempt and a growing mass crowd is learning this first-hand. With the on-set of EPG, within its first 5 years, the Nine Network killed any positive relationship they might have struck with tech-savvy people using Windows Media Centre and a huge number of devices using the IceTV EPG. Even today, the EPG for Nine Network channels regularly show TBA (To Be Advised) in numerous time slots thus losing massive audiences to programs which actually show on other channels.

  2. I had a strange nagging feeling of deja vu whilst reading many of the above comments.

I eventually solved my dilemma by swapping ‘ Nine’ for/between/with, both ‘Ten’ and ‘Seven’ and saved hours of searching in ‘Davids’ programming/news archives

  3. Far out that really is unbeliveable and very childish that nine dont send amendmants because they are afraid of copping a few negative comments grow up channel nine

  4. Channel nine have treated viewers poorly for a long time. Hence why the negative comments. Poor scheduling, shows disappearing, big bang repeats everywhere, late changes to start times (footy classified especially) and a very poor catch up site where shows aren’t loaded till late the next morning after aired the night before.

  5. If it was not for TV Tonight I would not be aware of this change. Lots of people do not buy newspapers anymore so we rely on blogs like this for our TV news. Wow, TEN must e finally doing something right for 9 to react like this. How embarrassing if Nine come third.

  6. As I watch both kids and X factor this puts offspring in a three way tie. Hoping master chef will go over so can watch offspring without interruption.

  7. That is why Nine was the first of the commercial networks that I stopped watching. They show zero respect for the viewer and it was simply too much effort trying to follow shows around their schedule.

  8. Negative comments on TV Tonight? Not nearly as angry and frustrated as I feel when I try and set the recorder and find TBA instead of a program name on the EPG, or the program listing stopping on the show currently being shown. I just can’t understand the PR behind that sort of thing.

  9. If it wasn’t for TV Tonight publishing changes, I wouldn’t know about them! I stick with Seven and Ten shows when I know they’re being moved, but Nine never tells you where a show is moving to.

  10. Typical of Nine, it is so bad that I hardly watch any of the three channels that Nine own. I prefer to wait and buy the DVD sets of Arrow than watch it on Nine.

  11. When will the season final of CSI make an appearance? I’m not interested in The Voice Kids and The Blind Side has been on about 3 times before, the last not that long ago.

Getting really sick of being stuffed around by over-runs and last minute rescheduling of shows!

  12. Boo hoo Nine. Readers of this website have just as every right to comment positively or negatively to a scheduling amendment as you have to make said scheduling amendment.

If your amendments generally result in a negative response, that’s properly a reflection of the changes you’re making rather then being precious of readers of a TV blog…
