This weekend 60 Minutes features a special report on the 1984 Father’s Day Massacre (previously the subject of a TEN miniseries), including witnesses speaking for the first time.

Bravery. Courage. Defiance. Heartbreak. They’re not words you normally attach to Father’s Day but Sunday, September 2nd 1984 was a Father’s Day like no other. It was the day two rival bikie gangs went to war in the car park of a Sydney pub, leaving dozens of people wounded and seven dead, including an innocent 15 year old girl. The notorious Milperra Massacre remains the worst single outbreak of bikie violence the world has ever seen. This Father’s Day marks 30 years since that bloodbath stunned Australia. In this special edition of 60 Minutes, Michael Usher takes viewers inside the massacre like never before.

· Linda Motton was 22 years old and sitting in the front seat of a car, when the violence erupted. Her windscreen was shattered, and she suffered shrapnel wounds to her face and head, but Linda bravely crawled under the car and started taking photos. Those photos were crucial to the police investigation. Linda has endured decades of death threats, but this Sunday she breaks her 30 year silence.

· 15 year old Leanne Walters was fatally shot, caught in the crossfire. On 60 Minutes, for the first time, her father Rex reveals his 30 year heartbreak, including the Father’s Day present Leanne never got to give him.

· Detectives John Garvey and Mick McGann who courageously stormed the car park and disarmed the bikies, unveil never before seen evidence that led to the arrest and conviction of 30 bikies in Australia’s longest criminal trial.

· Jock Ross, the feared bikie boss, who’s survived numerous attacks on his life, near fatal shootings, and served time for murder, sits down for his first in-depth interview about what happened that day.
