2014 MTV EMAs: winners

5 Seconds of Summer and Iggy Azalea pick up awards and Ozzy Osbourne is feted as an icon.

slash-and-ozzy-1440x1920Sydney’s own 5 Seconds of Summer picked up not one, but two awards at the 2014 MTV EMAs in Glasgow this morning, taking out both the ‘Best New’ and ‘Best PUSH’ categories.

Aussie rapper Iggy Azalea also shared ‘Best Song’ honours with Ariana Grande for their collaborative effort on ‘Problem’.

Hosted by Nicki Minaj the show included performances by U2, Alicia Keys, Ariana Grande and Ed Sheeran.

Ozzy Osbourne accepted this year’s Global Icon Award while Biffy Clyro’s Simon Neil joined Slash, Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators with a tribute to his hit ‘Crazy Train’.

And did we mention David Hasselhoff dressed up in blue face paint to become “BraveHoff”?
