Gina Rinehart quits TEN board

Gina Rinehart retains her TEN shareholding while a Hancock exec takes her place at the TEN board.

2013-02-06_1106TEN shareholder Gina Rinehart has confirmed her resignation from the Board of Ten Network Holdings Limited but recommended John Klepec, to take her place as a Director.

She became a company director in December 2010 and remains a substantial shareholder.

A release indicated Mrs. Rinehart enjoyed working with the management of TEN and wished the Board and its staff all the best.

TEN’s Executive Chairman and Managing Director, Hamish McLennan, said: “It has been a very great pleasure working with Mrs Rinehart and I have appreciated her commitment and our discussions. I look forward to her ongoing involvement.”

John Klepec, who has been attending Board meetings on Rinehart’s behalf, is the Chief Development Officer for Hancock Prospecting Pty Ltd and has now been appointed as a TEN Director.

Next year Gina Rinehart will be the subject of a miniseries on Nine.
