PlayStation4 adds PLUS7

Another news platform for Seven's catch-up service.

2014-11-07_0018Seven’s catch-up service PLUS7 will soon be available on PlayStation4.

It follows the platform recently becoming available on Telstra T-Box.

Caroline Casey, Director of Product and Audience, Yahoo7, said “Yahoo7 is committed to making our premium content easily available to audiences via the platforms they already use and love. This new agreement will let PlayStation 4 owners catch-up on their favourite shows directly from their TV, anywhere and at any time.”

Michael Ephraim, Managing Director, Sony Computer Entertainment Australia said, “Not only is PS4 the best place to play, but it’s the best place to bring your love of games together with a passion for all things entertainment. PLUS7 offers our players a host of exceptional home-grown and international TV programs to catch-up on, complementing our broader suite of entertainment services.”

  1. Thanks everyone for the info , just manager to talk to my local telstra store, the tbox will be fazed out next late year , as foxtel launched (today?) foxtel channels via the internet with phone etc included , so i will switch over, again thanks, also he didn’t thonk PLUS7, would be anytime soon ,but he will check

  2. The thing about the Plus7 app is that it doesn’t appear to have any international content, it’s all 7 made programs. Although if you access Plus7 via a PC, it does have international content.

  3. I’ve checked a whole bunch of TBoxes, it’s not on any of them yet. I assume there will be a firmware rollout involved and, knowing Telstra, that could take quite some time.

Interesting though, as it was removed from the PS3 some time ago. No idea if it’s coming back to that platform. It was always a pretty poor catchup service, so it wasn’t greatly missed. I hope they’ve improved it or they may as well not have bothered.
