Cirque du Soleil documentary Totem Stories, goes behind the scenes of the circus spectacular on Nine this Sunday.

Since its world premiere in 2010 more than three million people in 25 cities worldwide have been mesmerised by the intimacy and beauty of Totem, another dazzling production from one of the world’s greatest entertainment companies. The jaw-dropping spectacle of acrobatics, live music and special effects explores the evolution of the human race and the inspiration we have drawn from the animal kingdom.

Featuring a cast of 46 acrobats, actors, musicians and singers, Totem is an uplifting array of athleticism, comedy, heartfelt emotions and stunning visual effects. The documentary features performers currently touring Australia, including aerial rings artist Alevtyna Titarenko from Ukraine, singer Christian Laveau from Canada, singer Esi Kwesiwa (United Kingdom), and roller-skating couple Massimiliano Medini (Italy) and Denise Garcia-Sorta (Spain).
