It was pretty obvious from his previous tweets, but earlier this week Kyle McLachlan confirmed he is on board for the Twin Peaks revival.
McLachlan, who played Special Agent Dale Cooper, confirmed the news at a panel at the US Television Critics Association press tour.
As the Hollywood Reporter notes, he sauntered onstage in character to join Showtime president David Nevins.
“You look like you need a damn fine cup of coffee,” he said, before Nevins confirmed, “He’ll be leading the show, and there’ll be more cast coming on as we roll through.”
MacLachlan left the stage he got a laugh and some rare applause by telling the crowd, “I’m very excited to return to the strange world of Twin Peaks. May the forest be with you.”

Just leave it alone, nothing can live up to the original! Use some creativity and come up with something new!!!!
As tv fads go this is my favourite. Bring back old favourite for a limited run. Long enough to get your fill but not too long to outstay its welcome.
Good grief-does no one remember the debacle of the 2nd season? We had one great 1st season out of the Laura Palmer thing, and like many shows, once it was resolved the magic went with it.
