Family statement on “end of life decisions” for Tom Sizemore

Doctors sadly inform family that there is no further hope for actor Tom Sizemore following a brain aneurysm 10 days ago.

The family of US actor Tom Sizemore have issued a statement 10 days after the star, 61, was rushed to hospital after suffering a brain aneurysm.

According to a statement issued to Variety, “Doctors informed his family that there is no further hope and have recommended end of life decision.”

The family is now deciding end of life matters and a further statement will be issued on Wednesday.

“We are asking for privacy for his family during this difficult time and they wish to thank everyone for the hundreds of messages of support, and prayers that have been received. This has been a difficult time for them.”

Sizemore is best known for films including Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down and Pearl Harbor and the revival of Twin Peaks in 2017.

  1. A very hard working character actor for 35 years who managed to stand out in films like ‘Black Hawk Down’ and ‘Saving Pte Ryan’ with their blockbuster ensemble casts. Sad news indeed.

    1. Good choices and I’d throw Heat in there too, which is no mean feat when you’re acting with the likes of De Niro and Pacino. I always felt he was quite unique as an actor, those eyes could really look through you. Very sad to hear he’s gone.

  2. My here breaks for his family, I’ve been there and it’s the most heart wrenching decision to make. My thoughts are with them and others facing that decision.💔
