2015-01-12_1645Is this another hint that Melissa Joan Hart could be appearing in I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here?

Yesterday that former star of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Melissa and Joey and Clarissa Explains It All and Clarissa Explains It All suddenly began following TV Tonight on Twitter.

Hart has been rumoured to be joining the TEN reality series, although it’s unlikely she fills the brief of “international household name” (sorry!).

  2. I love how people think she is doing nothing simply because she is not on Australian television. FYI she is currently doing a sitcom in the USA called Melissa & Joey which by all accounts is actually quite a good show.

    Evidently appearing in I’m A Celebrity is an awesome coup for channel 10!!

  3. Anybody who truly fills the brief of ‘international household name’ would not be appearing on I’m a Celebrity. That said, I’m 21 and think a fair number of people around my age know MJH by name.

  4. Gotta say she’s a household name to me – I’m 34 and grew up with Clarissa & Sabrina. Depends not just on age but on TV tastes I guess. And, as sillygostly said, she is starring in Melissa and Joey, which is pretty successful in the US from what I’ve heard, so she’s certainly still well know over there. Actually, slightly off topic, but I’m really surprised Melissa and Joey hasn’t been picked up by any network here.

  6. Melissa currently has a sitcom titled “Melissa and Joey” that is currently airing on ABC Family in the U.S. (a channel available on basic cable). It’s currently in its fifth season.

    I have no idea whether or not the show has ever aired in Australia.

    The Chk Chk Boom Girl would be worth it just for the promos.

    You’re actually onto something… Seeing the likes of Corey Worthington either slay or be slayed by D-Listers could be very funny and I might even tune in for guilty pleasure like that.

  11. How many A-grade celebs have appeared on reality tv, anywhere in the world ?

    I think B,C or D grade ones are far more entertaining.
    Actually, the lower grade, the more chance of them being a complete train wreck.

    What grade would Melissa be considered to be ?

  13. Those guessing who will be going into the jungle should just look for any ‘B’ or ‘C’ grade celebs that have not worked for a while and need the publicity and the money.

    Oh and just like DWTS – there’ll be a few contracted Ten employees.

    Grant Denyer is being rumoured and of course one of the Neighbours stars will be there too.

  14. I guessed Melissa was the ‘international’ tv star rumoured to go to the jungle.

    Melissa has not done much lately – ever since she publically rooted for Mitt Romney in 2012.

    And she should be happy she has a paying job again – and the news that Romney is planning to run for President – again – should make Melissa even happier!

  19. I think she is a household name for those in their early 30’s who grew up with Clarissa and Sabrina. Probably the audience Ten is trying to win back.

  24. Funny you say that. I mentioned to my husband that Sabrina the Teenage Witch will be in I’m a celebrity, and his response was ‘Oh! Melissa Joan Hart’.

    He hardly remembers my name, so I reckon you’re a bit harsh there, David!
