Heads up Monty Python fans, next weekend SBS screens Monty Python: The Meaning of Live, which goes behind the scenes of the Live stage reunion of 2014.
With unprecedented access, this observational documentary reveals the humour, chaos and passion that went into bringing the Flying Circus to the stage cumulating in the already legendary One Down, Five To Go while offering unique insights into each character.
There is Eric Idle pulling the show together with Broadway panache, Terry Jones distracted by his latest feature film, John Cleese’s detail-driven perfectionism, Michael Palin rediscovering the joy of improvisation and Terry Gilliam, restless with the demands of returning to Python.
Alongside the rehearsals, the giant penises and dead parrots, the story of Monty Python Live emerges, as the journey to The O2 also takes place through four decades of Python history.
Sunday, 1 March at 8.30pm on SBS ONE

Well at least SBS can’t show a bloody double-ep of this. One for catch-up I think.
