House of Hancock part 2 will air on Nine on Sunday night, but will include edits.
Gina Rinehart won the right to view the episode last night but her lawyers then demanded changes.
A confidential agreement has been reached which will enable the episode to go to proceed on Sunday.
Statement from Hancock Prospecting:
Following negotiations this morning, the parties have reached a settlement the precise terms of which are confidential. I can indicate that Channel 9 has agreed to excise certain scenes, and to include appropriate disclaimers. There will be no further comment at this time.
A Nine spokesperson added:
The Nine Network is delighted the matter is resolved with Mrs Rinehart. We’re very proud of the piece of drama which will go to air tomorrow night at 8.45pm.

CherryPizza .. Gina is no longer a TEN shareholder, she sold out the other week.
Still a shareholder but not a Board Director. Sold out of Fairfax.
Find it hard to believe they have the time to do this, I’m guessing some parts were probably just cut making a shorter part 2.
David, did you see Ep 2 as part of your review? If so, you’d be able to report on which scenes were edited?
Alas no.
1. Gina had the most sympathetic portrayal in the first part, since she was shown to have genuine concern about the family’s honour and didn’t want her father’s hormones to eat away at what the family had built up
2. If she is genuinely concerned about her and her family’s portrayal, kicking up a fuss in this way can’t be doing her any favours
3. This Ten shareholder has given Nine just the ratings-generating controversy it needs/wants
4. Bring on the telemovie about what happened in this meeting
like to be a fly on the wall of that edit suite. would be a nightmare
If they aired the mini-series over two consecutive nights then this would never have happened. But then, Nine aren’t exactly renowned for their scheduling smarts.
Soft… Air it as was intended or not at all.
I think Gina was portrayed in a good light in ep 1. It was Lang who looked like a goose thinking with his appendage and Rose a kooky opportunist that bore the brunt of the caricatures. And the end result…… The show portrayed the circumstances exactly as most of us thought the situation played out in real life. Gina has played into Nines hands…..ep 2 will rate bigger than ep 1
